(CNN)Who gets to label a person?
That is part of the debate sparked by Sophie Turner’s comments during an interview with Rolling Stone. The “Game of Thrones” star chatted with the publication for their latest cover story and talked about her sisterhood with co-star Maisie Williams and her engagement to singer Joe Jonas.Turner was 21 when Jonas popped the question and the now 23-year-old told Rolling Stone she didn’t think it was going to happen for her at any age.”I was fully preparing myself to be single for the rest of my life,” she said. “I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know.”Read MoreThe actress added “I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age. I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know. I’ve met enough guys to know — I’ve met enough girls to know.”Asked to expand on the part about girls, Turner said “Everyone experiments.””It’s part of growing up,” she said. “I love a soul, not a gender.”That set off tweets proclaiming that Turner had “come out.”

sophie turner did NOT label her sexuality. this does not mean you can label it for her. she’s a real person not a fictional character.

Sophie Turner said she experimented as “part of growing up” and everyone’s out here going “she came out as bi 😍!!” so friendly reminder that bisexuality is not an experiment, a rite of passage for confirming being straight, or a synonym for questioning

what sophie said is very validating for a lot of people and that’s cool but she sure didn’t label herself as pan or bi so it’s probably not cute to act like she did
