Folks on Twitter showed solidarity with Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D-Pa.) after she admitted to accidentally spending an entire day wearing mismatched shoes.

The freshman lawmaker tweeted snaps of her fashion faux pas on Wednesday afternoon:

People ask me all the time about the pace of things in DC. It’s 4:04PM and I just noticed that I have gone an entire day with two different shoes on. pic.twitter.com/a5SciTpNJr

Scanlon’s post clearly struck a chord with other people, who shared images and stories of their own embarrassing clothing and footwear flubs online:

Nope. Can't relate. pic.twitter.com/Pp7Nawsfnt

A couple years back, it was around 2 in the afternoon when I looked down and wondered why my shoelaces were different colors. Took me a few seconds to figure it out.n🤣 pic.twitter.com/96ZgMK61th

My sole sister!!!! 🤣Congresswoman, I learned the hard way that buying same shoe in different colors is not more efficient, it just leads to days like this, when you are too exhausted and it's dark when you get dressed in the AM

I have done the exact same thing…unfortunately, you don’t have 30 fifth graders pointing it out to you all day. pic.twitter.com/5WRyatYGtW
